Subrassen

There are different kinds of elves in the world of Onos stemming from the ancient elves of Ioflyae where this race was born. You belong to one of these subraces.

  • Drow Magic: You know any cantrip from warlock spell list. You learn and can cast a 1st-level spell from the warlock spell list with this trait, without requiring a material component. Starting 3rd level, you learn and can also cast a 2nd-level spell from the warlock spell list with this trait, without requiring a material component. Once you cast a spell with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
  • Superior Darkvision: The range of your Darkvision increases to 120 feet. However, you have disadvantage on sight-based ability checks in bright light.
  • Root Reversal: When a hostile creature you can see within 60 feet casts a spell, you can use your reaction to cast a spell you know or have prepared. Your spell resolves before the triggering spell. You can use this feature once per long rest.

  • High Elven Magic: You know any cantrip from wizard spell list. You learn and can cast a 1st-level spell from the wizard spell list with this trait, without requiring a material component. Starting 3rd level, you learn and can also cast a 2nd-level spell from the wizard spell list with this trait, without requiring a material component. Once you cast a spell with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
  • Reader of Mana: Once per Long Rest, when a creature you can see within 60 feet casts a spell of a level no higher than your proficiency bonus, you can use your reaction to attune to the mana around them. Choose one of the following:
    • You counter the spell as if you had cast the Counterspell spell at 3rd level.
    • You copy the spell's mana signature. Until the end of your next long rest, you can cast the copied spell once at it's lowest level without expending a spell slot or requiring material components. Your spellcasting ability for this is the one chosen with your High Elven Magic feature.

  • Wood Elf Magic: You know any cantrip from druid spell list. You learn and can cast a 1st-level spell from the druid spell list with this trait, without requiring a material component. Starting 3rd level, you learn and can also cast a 2nd-level spell from the druid spell list with this trait, without requiring a material component. Once you cast a spell with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
  • Walk with Nature: As a bonus action, you can magically teleport yourself and a willing creature you can touch up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
