Übersicht Feats Subklassen Backyard Brawler Modifications

The following modifications can be applied to improvised weapons created through Anything Goes. Unless stated otherwise, each modification can only be applied once to a weapon.

  • A weapon can have up to two modifications, or three if it is Highly Experimental.
  • A Highly Experimental weapon is destroyed if you roll a 1 on an attack roll made with it and can’t be repaired.
  • Unless stated otherwise, modifications apply only to the weapon’s base damage dice and not to additional damage from other sources.

Control

When you push a creature using a Shove, you can push it up to 10 feet instead of 5 feet.

When you grapple a creature using this Weapon, it has disadvantage on checks made to escape the grapple.

Damage Types

The weapon deals Bludgeoning damage instead of its normal damage type.

The weapon deals Slashing damage instead of its normal damage type.

The weapon deals Piercing damage instead of its normal damage type.

Damage Manipulation

Attacks with this weapon critically strike on a roll of 19-20.

When you roll the weapon’s damage die, roll it twice and use the higher result.

You don’t roll the weapon’s damage die. Instead, it deals a fixed amount of damage equal to half the maximum value of the die (rounded down).

Properties

The weapon gains the Thrown (30/60) property.

The weapon gains the Light property. If the base weapon has the Heavy property, its damage is reduced by 2.

The weapon gains a magical +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls. This modification can be applied multiple times, up to a maximum of +3.

The weapon gains the Reach property.

The weapon gains the Returning property. At the end of your turn, the weapon returns to your hand.

Elemental Damage

A weapon can only have one elemental modification.

The weapon deals an additional 1d4 Fire damage on hit.

The weapon deals an additional 1d4 Lightning damage on hit.

The weapon deals an additional 1d4 Cold damage on hit.

The weapon deals an additional 1d4 Poison damage on hit.
