Erste Migrationsfassung: Quelle: Hintergründe/Homebrew/Ascetic.

Ascetic

You withdrew from the world to better understand it.

In the frozen lands of Asmiya, where temples rise from snow and stone and silence is considered a teacher, you devoted yourself to contemplation and discipline. Whether as a hermit, novice, pilgrim, or temple-bound ascetic, you endured isolation, cold, and hardship in pursuit of spiritual clarity.

Ascetics of Asmiya are not loud preachers or wandering missionaries. They are listeners, observers, and guides whose wisdom is shaped by patience and lived experience. When they speak, others tend to listen—because their words are chosen carefully.

  • Ability Scores: Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom
  • Skill Proficiencies: Insight, Religion
  • Tool Proficiency: Calligrapher’s Supplies
  • Equipment: Calligrapher's Supplies, Scroll Case, Amulet, Parchment (10 sheets), {{{Menge}}} Silber

Feature: Gathered Wisdom

Through years of contemplation and hardship, you have learned to gather moments of insight and clarity, which you can share—or spend when needed most.

  • You learn the Guidance cantrip. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for it.
  • You have a number of Gathered Wisdom equal to your proficiency bonus (minimum 2).
You regain all expended Wisdom points when you finish a long rest.

You can expend Wisdom points to use the following abilities:

  • Measured Counsel (1 point): When you cast Guidance on a creature other than yourself, the die becomes 1d6 instead of 1d4.
  • Inner Clarity (1 point): When you make a Wisdom ability check or a Wisdom saving throw, you can give yourself advantage on the roll.
  • Important Lesson (3 points): You grant yourself or a creature you can see within 30 feet Legendary Inspiration.

Personality Traits

Ascetics are shaped by solitude, ritual, and reflection rather than social convention. Their worldview emphasizes patience, restraint, and inner balance. Their ideals often revolve around understanding, endurance, or spiritual duty, while their bonds are frequently tied to temples, mentors, sacred sites, or teachings passed down through generations. Their flaws commonly arise from detachment, rigidity, or difficulty relating to those who have not walked a similar path.
