Zwerg

  • Creature Type: Humanoid
  • Size: Small or Medium
  • Speed: 30 feet
  • Darkvision: You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
  • Enduring Legacy: Your Hit Point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level. Additionally, when you make a saving throw, you add 1d4 to the result.

You are a descendant of one of the great lineages of dwarves of Onos. Choose additional benefits granted to you from your subrace:

  • Keeper of Knowledge: You have proficiency in the Arcana, History, or Religion skill.
  • Historical Trade: You have proficiency with one artisan tool of your choice.
  • Ascendancy of Technology: During a short or long rest, you can use tools to construct small arcane-tech items that each house a magical function. Choose a number of spells or cantrips equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1). The total combined level of these spells must not exceed your Proficiency Bonus. You can recreate or reassign your items during a rest.
  • Each item can replicate one of the chosen spells or cantrips, and if the item replicates a spell it can only be used once per long rest.
  • You decide which spells are embedded into which items when you create them.
  • Spells that require a spellcasting ability use the ability score of the user. If they have no spellcasting ability, Intelligence is used.
  • If the spell produces a visual effect (such as light), the item itself becomes the source.
  • Psionic Fortitude: You have Resistance to Psychic damage. You also have Advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the Charmed condition.
  • Superior Darkvision: The range of your Darkvision increases to 120 feet. However, you have disadvantage on sight-based ability checks in bright light.
  • Mental Reprisal: Once per Long Rest, when a creature you can perceive targets you with an effect that forces a saving throw against being Charmed, Frightened, or would otherwise mentally influence you (such as being stunned by a psychic blast, compelled by a spell, or affected by a hallucination), you can use your reaction to trigger a psionic backlash dealing psychic damage equal to 1d12 + your Constitution modifier. Choose one of the following:
  • Fortify the Mind: You automatically succeed on the saving throw.
  • Psychic Reflection: Regardless if you succeed on the saving throw, the creature must make a saving throw against their own effect. On a failure, they are affected by their own ability or spell while you are affected by it or for however long you would be affected by it with a minimum of one round.
  • Tremorsense: When you are in contact with stone—natural or worked—you can attune yourself to its vibrations. As a bonus action, you gain Tremorsense with a range of 60 feet for 1 minute. While this sense is active, you can detect and pinpoint the location of any creature in contact with the same stone surface within range. You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • Dwarven Stubborness: Once per long rest, when you take damage that would reduce you to half your hit point maximum or lower, you can use your reaction to dig in and manifest your unyielding will. You gain temporary hit points equal to half your maximum hit points. While you have these temporary hit points, you gain the following effects:
  • You reduce all incoming damage from any type by an amount equal to your level.
  • You cannot be moved against your will by any effect (including forced movement, teleportation, or being knocked prone).
  • You cannot Dash or take the Dodge action.
  • Step into the World: When you move through a space controlled by a creature of large, huge, or gargantuan size your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks from that creature.
  • Thrice Blessed: Once per Long Rest, when you make an attack roll, a saving throw, or an ability check, you can choose to treat the d20 roll as if you had rolled a natural 20. You can do this once for each of the three roll types: one attack roll, one saving throw, and one ability check. Each use must be declared before the result is resolved and is tracked separately.
